Job Summary 

The

Restaurants + Bars Field Marketing

Manager
is responsible for managing and maintaining on-going relationships with properties F&B and Marketing teams by acting as their specialized Field Marketing Account Manager for Restaurants + Bars. Provides hotel-specific strategic advisory support and execution. Focusing on an individual Restaurant + Bar outlet, the Account Manager is responsible of building a digital marketing plan, that maximizes R+B digital presence and drives more R+B revenue. Works closely with the Field Marketing team, Marriott Digital Services Media team and CALA regional F&B Marketing leadership. The Account Manager is responsible of not only managing the Digital Marketing plan for the outlet and the budget assigned to R+B Marketing but also is responsible of setting goals and identifying key targeting for each individual channel. Partners with vendors, agencies, and Marriott Caribbean & Latin America Continent teams to deliver services to support marketing objectives of specific outlets. Coordinates closely with hotel teams, regional stakeholders, and hotel field marketing services. 

CANDIDATE PROFILE 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. College (University) degree in marketing, hospitality management, or related field - preferred
  • Postgraduate or master’s degree in marketing or equivalent preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in equivalent position – Food & Beverage experience preferred.
  • 1+ years managerial experience - preferred
  • Prior experience in the field of marketing or marketing services support, hotel experience, digital marketing, restaurant/bar marketing, and social media experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance the interests and demands of multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • International working experience strongly preferred.
  • Fluency of English and Spanish required – Portuguese a plus.

Core Work Activities 

The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position: 

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the Restaurants + Bars business (R+B operations, industry drivers, challenges, competitors, outlet’s position in the local marketplace) and cutting-edge R+B marketing trends available in CALA to identify opportunities for growth.
  • By partnering with the Sr. Manager, Food & Beverage Marketing in CALA; develops an understanding of the R+B marketing strategies and build an application for the Caribbean & Latin American outlets and its consumers.
  • Ensure thorough understanding of each R+B outlet’s brand voice and targeted consumer to ensure meeting the marketing needs.
  • Uncover & investigate local CALA R+B marketing partners, agencies & channels to validate opportunity to drive success for local outlets.
  • Create and pull through new R+B targeted marketing programs/services to ensure successful, and brand appropriate local implementation.
  • Provides marketing budget guidance to on-property R+B outlet leadership.
  • Work with COEs (e.g., Social, PR, Digital) to execute key digital marketing activities and to refine offerings specific to R+B.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a collection of property’s R+B outlets specific Field Marketing needs.
  • Understand R+B stakeholder expectations to develop effective marketing solutions that meet the expectations and create value for both stakeholders and Marriott International.
  • Designs customized annual outlet marketing plans for each assigned R+B outlet based on their specified budget, including setting key marketing goals, and identifying key local and targeted marketing channels to be utilized to reach goals.
  • Communicate with on-property R+B leadership to get input throughout marketing planning process.
  • Manage coordinators and any other Field support personnel, as assigned, and ensure quality of work.
  • Create strategic R+B marketing plans and actions based on forecast and need.
  • Develop and share reporting showing a quantitative view on how various channels/activities support business objectives based on data/learnings (e.g., anticipated goal to each KPI per channel) and set goals/targets.
  • Determine KPIs and specific goals for each marketing tactic, monitor progress against those goals and provide reports and information about progress. 
  • Update plans as needed based on performance, forecast, and budget.
  • Educate F&B and BMD Leadership Team about strategy, best practices, and policies/procedures to ensure alignment.
  • Educate GMs/owners on R+B marketing topics and trends. 
  • Identify opportunities for expanding services for a given R&B outlet, share value of expanded services with property leadership and budget requirement. 
  • Respond to ad-hoc R+B Marketing requests.
