Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale Beach is looking for an Accounts Payable/General Cashier to join our Finance team. We're next to the Fort Lauderdale beach, half a mile south of East Las Olas Boulevard. It's a four-mile drive to the cruise terminals at Port Everglades. We offer several aquatic adventures including sightseeing cruises, deep sea fishing, and scuba diving. Explore the Jungle Queen steamboat and lounge by our rooftop pool. 

Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5pm (times may vary during month-end)

Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour

What will I be doing?

As an Accounts Payable/General Cashier you will be responsible for paying all hotel bills, receiving and consolidating all cash and checks, preparing for the daily bank deposit and maintaining records of daily cash receipts and transactions, in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

•        Pay and record bills upon verification of accuracy, back-up documentation and appropriate approvals.
•        Complete month-end responsibilities. 
•        Coordinate receiving tickets, purchase orders and invoices for proper coding and approval signature.  
•        Ensure all accounts are current, reconcile vendor statements and maintain record of payments.
•        Prepares daily bank deposit in timely manner for armoured car pick-up. Prepares due backs on a daily basis for cashiers and bartenders.
•        Inventories daily deposits from cashiers and bartenders. Reports immediately to Director of Finance any missing deposits or discrepancies between cash envelopes and actual deposits. 
•        Prepares General Cashier’s Report daily.
•        Ensures sufficient funds are on hand for daily hotel operation. Provides change to hotel staff. 
•        Conduct research and prepare reports, as needed.
