Summary

To provide an excellent greeting and departure for restaurant guests.  Exemplify excellent guest service and communication skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Thoroughly communicate promotions, food and beverage menu, and general restaurant/casino information to guests with confidence.
  • Ensure guest recognition by remembering names, faces, and information that makes each guest feel unique.
  • Properly address all guest complaints by communicating with the MOD.
  • Maintain eye contact and stay alert.
  • Assist with food service and carry a 27” oval tray in a traditional restaurant style containing hot and cold food items.  
  • Obtain TIPS certificate and Guest Service Training within 90 days of employment. 
  • May assist service staff with bussing tables.
  • Perform tasks including seating guests, side work, and duties assigned by management. 
  • Perform steps of service and maintain restaurant service standards.
  • Practice Safety and Sanitation techniques.
  • Provide excellent service to the guests and basic knowledge about the casino resort. 
  • Follow RICH and Food & Beverage standards.

Qualifications

Experience and/or Education

Up to one year related experience or training. Basic menu, wine, and spirit knowledge required

Age Requirement

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to guests and employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
