Since its formation in 1988, Dimension Development Company, Inc. has successfully developed, acquired and managed full-service, all-suite, and limited feature hotels. The company's various hotel partnerships have produced winning combinations in markets throughout the country. Dimension's current management portfolio includes hotels in the Hilton, 6 Continents, and Marriott brand families. These hotels include Courtyard by Marriott, Fairfield Inn, Hampton Inns, Holiday Inns, Holiday Inns & Suites, Holiday Inn Express, Homewood Suites by Hilton, and Residence Inn by Marriott. The company operates 30 hotels in eleven states, and is actively working to acquire and develop additional hotel properties.
Dimension is a growth-oriented hospitality management company. Philosophically, however, Dimension differs from most hotel management firms in that it, primarily, manages hotels in which Dimension principals and / or partners have ownership positions. Therefore, the company has a more significant interest in all aspects of property performance, product quality and service excellence than many other hospitality management groups, which have no ownership interests or long-term affiliation with a particular hotel. This philosophy translates into higher levels of guest satisfaction and product quality.
Founded by Sam J. Friedman and John S. Turner, Jr., Dimension is based in Natchitoches, Louisiana. A former practicing attorney, Mr. Friedman is President of Dimension, and has more than 25 years of experience in the lodging industry. He has played significant roles in the development of the Holiday Inn, Residence Inn and Homewood Suites hotel franchise brands. Mr. Turner, Dimension's Chairman of the Board, was among the pioneer franchisees who built the Residence Inn (now Residence Inn by Marriott) hotel concept.
The key members of Dimension's home office and property management teams have extensive experience in all facets of the hospitality industry. However, the key reason for the company's success and growth lies in its commitment to hiring “good” people with positive attitudes and a desire to be better. Without good people, nothing happens. Dimension hotels are successful because they are staffed by “productive” people who drive themselves to be successful.
