Description

Hilton Baltimore Inner Harboris searching for a talented full-time Restaurant Host/Hostess to join their team! This is a union position. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of food and beverage experience within a high volume hotel setting. This position will be supporting Pendulum 401.

The Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor is adjacent to Oriole Park at Camden Yards, five blocks from Baltimore's Inner Harbor area and surrounded by downtown dining. Our hotel is connected to Baltimore Convention Center via skywalk, and we're a half-mile from Camden MARC Station, linking to the airport. This property has 62,663 total sq. ft. of banquet space, including outdoor multi-function areas and the largest hotel ballroom in Baltimore, overlooking Camden Yards.

Shift Pattern: Full availability is needed to support AM and PM operations/ Typical shift pattern is 6:30am-2:30pm and 2:30pm-11:00pm

Pay Rate: $16.20 per hour

What will I be doing?

As a Restaurnt Host/Hostess, you would be responsible for welcoming guests and escorting them to their seats for dining in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Welcome guests and ascertain their dining needs
• Seat guests and manage the seating chart
• Monitor restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow
• Perform opening and closing duties, as needed
• Assist others with side work including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, etc.
• Ensure knowledge of menu
• Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
• Assist fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships
