We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Rooms Operations Manager to join our team! Previous hotel housekeeping supervisory experience is required for this role. Here is what you will be doing each day:

As our Rooms Operations Manager, you will be working with our Housekeeping team providing supervision and direction for all housekeeping and laundry activities of the hotel to ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and guest satisfaction are maintained.

You have a keen eye for detail, and respect the importance that impeccably clean guest room supplies have in a hotel. You can communicate well with guests, and always willing to “pitch-in”, lead by example, and be a team player. You have knowledge of basic sanitation requirements/controls and applications of chemicals and knowledge of policies applicable to housekeeping and laundry especially those related to safety, guest security and hotel property.

You have the supervisory skills to manage the housekeeping operations with the ability to effectively deal with associates, in addition to the ability to continuously inspect rooms and work collectively with the team.

Essential Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Operations:

1. Supervise and support room attendants, house-persons, and inspectors by conducting daily meetings, inspecting work, and providing feedback to uphold cleanliness standards.
2. Assist the Housekeeping Manager in hiring, training, evaluating performance, and resolving staff concerns, while maintaining open communication.
3. Create and manage staff schedules based on occupancy and operational needs, ensuring adequate coverage for daily tasks and projects.
4. Oversee and correct payroll records to ensure accurate and timely pay, including adjustments for extra cleanup, rollaway beds, and purchased rooms.

Quality Control & Budgeting:

1. Monitor housekeeping performance metrics, including inspection scores and cleanliness ratings, to ensure high standards.
2. Maintain and review departmental budget and expense forecasts to optimize housekeeping operations.

Cleaning & Maintenance Oversight:

1. Ensure guest rooms and public spaces are cleaned according to standards, including:
2. Cleaning and sanitizing bathtubs, toilets, sinks, mirrors, counters, and floors.
3. Dusting furniture, shelves, and fixtures thoroughly.
4. Vacuuming entire rooms and emptying trash.
5. Stripping and making beds, lifting bedspreads (up to 50 lbs) as needed.
6. Verify that all electronic equipment and plumbing fixtures are functioning properly.
7. Oversee room refresh procedures as per hotel guidelines.

Inventory & Workplace Safety:

1. Assist with inventory management, ensuring proper stock levels of linen, cleaning supplies, and equipment.
2. Maintain clean and organized workstations, housekeeping carts, and linen storage areas.
3. Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE, wet floor signage, and biohazard disposal procedures.
4. Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the appropriate department.
5. Handle lost and found items in compliance with hotel policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications-

1. Previous hotel housekeeping supervisory experience is a must.
2. Strong English communication skills to effectively interact with team members and guests.
3. A self-motivated leader with a professional demeanor who leads by example.
4. Willingness to step in and assist with housekeeping tasks when needed, including room cleaning, inspections, and other duties.
5. Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as needed.
6. Comfortable with physical tasks, such as bending, stooping, reaching, and moving throughout the hotel to support the team.
7. A team-oriented mindset with a commitment to excellence in cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
