Job Overview

The role of the Technology Project Manager is to plan, execute, and bring Digital Platform initiatives to completion in accordance with deadlines and within budget. This includes coordinating the efforts of Wind Creek team members, third-party contractors and consultants.  The Technology Project Manager will track and communicate status of projects and keep all team members aligned throughout execution.  The Technology Project Manager will work with stake holders to define project objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.

Duties And Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

  • Defines project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
  • Effectively communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
  • Liaises with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis
  • Sets and continually manages project expectations with team members and other stakeholders
  • Plans and schedules project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
  • Tracks project milestones and deliverables
  • Determines the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyzes results, and troubleshoots problem areas
  • Defines project success criteria and disseminates them to involved parties throughout project life cycle
  • Conducts project post mortems and creates a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
  • Develops best practices and tools for project execution and management

Acquisition & Deployment

  • Estimates the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals
  • Drafts and submits budget proposals, and recommends subsequent budget changes where necessary
  • Where required, negotiates with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company
  • Determines and assesses need for additional staff and/or consultants and makes the appropriate recruitments if necessary during project cycle

Operational Management

  • Directs and manages project development from beginning to end
  • Develops full-scale project plans and associated communications documents
  • Delegates tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
  • Identifies and resolves issues and conflicts within the project team
  • Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical path
  • Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations
  • Proactively manages changes in project scope, identifies potential crises, and devises contingency plans
  • Coaches, mentors, motivates and supervises project team members and contractors, and influences them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
  • Builds, develops, and grows any business relationships vital to the success of the project

Job Requirements (Please Ensure You Meet The Listed Requirements Prior To Applying)

  • High School diploma or GED- required
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or Related field– required
    • OR seven (7) years’ experience as team lead responsible for project planning and management– required
  • Six (6) years direct work experience in a project management capacity and/or a position that requires constant project management, including all aspects of product development and execution– required
  • Five (5) years of product development related work experience in gaming or gambling industry– required
  • Five (5) years working in and managing SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) – required
  • Strong familiarity with project management software, such as jira and confluence.
  • Competent and proficient with computer software such as Microsoft (Excel, Viso, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and Adobe (photoshop)
  • Demonstrated experience in personnel management
  • Strong understanding of project management principles; Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to conduct and direct research into product development as required
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
  • Highly self-motivated and directed; Keen attention to detail
  • Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Exceptional customer service orientation; Extensive experience working in both independently and team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Flexible to work odd and irregular hours including holidays, promotions and weekends when needed
  • Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings
  • Some travel may be required for the purpose of meeting with clients, stakeholders, or off-site personnel/management
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently
  • Flexible during times of change
  • Ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines
  • Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments
  • Ability to defuse tension among project team, should it arise
  • Ability to bring project to successful completion through political sensitivity
  • Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products
  • Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial
  • Must have a Tribal Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) as a requirement for this position
  • Must have willingness and ability to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment
