The opportunity

Delaware North Gaming is hiring a full-time Heavy Duty Cleaner to join our team at Southland Casino in West Memphis, Arkansas. As a Heavy Duty Cleaner, you will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing assigned areas throughout the property. If you are passionate about providing guests with the optimal experience and a comfortable environment, apply now.

What will you do?

  • Maintain cleaning equipment and tools in a safe and proper manner 
  • Assist fellow team members to ensure a smooth operation 
  • Maintain daily documentation on the cleaning of all equipment 
  • Perform cleanings in private and enclosed areas 
  • Operate shampooers, buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, scissor lifts, and various cleaning equipment 

More about you

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a state gaming license 
  • No experience required; previous commercial cleaning or guest service experience preferred 
  • Working knowledge of various cleaning utensils, dryers, vacuum cleaners, tools, and fixtures  
  • Ability to read in English; ability to print and speak simple sentences 
  • Ability to make simple addition and subtraction calculations 
  • No degree required
  • Weekends, holidays, and swing shift work may be required  

Physical requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds 
  • Frequent lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling
  • Standing and walking for length of shift
