Key Responsibilities
- Maintain thorough knowledge of hotel services, amenities, and operations
- Greet and assist guests with a friendly, engaging, and professional demeanor
- Assist with transporting, storing, and retrieving guest luggage and packages
- Provide guests with information about local attractions and points of interest
- Deliver parcels, mail, and special items to guest rooms promptly
- Arrange transportation for guests, including taxis and shuttle services
- Support guest arrivals and departures by assisting with luggage handling
- Communicate VIP arrivals to the Front Desk and Guest Services teams
- Ensure luggage carts are clean and well-maintained at all times
Requirements
- Prior guest service experience required
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and commitment to guest satisfaction
- Professional appearance, attitude, and work ethic
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with frequent lifting/carrying of up to 25 lbs
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods; requires reaching, handling, and clear communication
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Flexible schedule, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Willingness to travel to Long Island City
Compensation
For positions based in NYC, the anticipated hourly rate is $18.00. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as relevant experience, industry background, and education.
