How Will You Shine?

As a valued and successful Laundry Attendant, you will be required to:

• Maintain work area neat and organized
• Know and perform all stages of linen processing (i.e., sorting and weighting soiled linen; sorting clean linen; running clean laundry through proper machinery)
• Process all types of linen including loading and unloading machines
• Report all unsafe conditions immediately
• Clean the laundry machinery, filters, and vents
• must be able to pull the laundry chute, 50-100 lbs
• Report any mechanical problems to maintenance
• Supervise laundry staff
• Assist in monthly meetings
• Attend all mandatory meetings
• Complete other duties assigned by the supervisor to include cross training
• Assist in inventory counts of linens, chemicals, etc.
• Perform duties of room attendant when necessary
• Report missing /found articles, damage, or merchandise problems to the housekeeping supervisors
• Discuss any issues that have not been addressed to the oncoming shift
• Always respond in a friendly, helpful manner to guests and other colleagues
• Take up any tasks assigned by the housekeeping director as and when needed
• Report to work in the required uniform and in adherence with the Resort’s Dress Code Policy
• Must be able to work independently and as a team player
• Knowledge of the chemicals and how to change them
