The Procurement Manager is responsible for daily operations and ensuring the timely and efficient procurement of goods and services for the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians business enterprises. The Procurement Manager ensures that the appropriate departmental performance and metrics are established to readily support all business initiatives. The Procurement Manager will supervise, manage, mentor, and motivate team members, in addition to the responsibilities listed below. This person will enable effective stakeholder collaboration with other business units and vendors to achieve best in class procurement functions.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning reviewing and directing work; evaluating and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• The Manager must uphold SMBMI’s core values and set the example for confidentiality, impartiality, fairness and commitment to the highest levels of integrity, honesty and ethics.
