Responsibilities for this Position
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Performs various types of massage treatments i.e., Swedish, Trager, Sports, etc.
- Proficiency in all components of massage, body and hydrotherapy, i.e., anatomy and physiology.
- Proficiency in doing a variety of body treatments in addition to being well versed in new developments, i.e., Vichy shower, Swiss shower, exfoliations, masks, hydro tubs, body polish, herbal wraps, etc.
- Prepares and maintains treatment area supplies daily.
- Ensures the privacy of each guest.
- Attends weekly and monthly departmental staff meetings as requested.
- Conducts tours of the facility as needed, to ensure a pleasant visit of each guest.
- Maintains consistent spa inventory and orders supplies as needed.
- Promotes and sells massage and body products.
- Attends product knowledge training as required.
- On-time attendance and ability to work uninterrupted is required.
- Performs other related reasonable duties capable of being performed as requested by Management.
Requirements
- Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Current license(s) and certificate(s) for massage therapy as required by the state, county, city/town.
- One-year experience administering massage, body and hydrotherapy treatments, desired.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
- Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
Technical Requirements:
- Must be willing to work a variety of day/night and weekend shifts.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Must be able to converse in basic English.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Able to be on your feet for long periods of time.
- Excellent people skills.
- Must meet grooming standards.
