Description

What will I be doing?

Our Finance team (HAFS =  Hilton Accounting & Finance Services) serves as a critical business partner responsible for managing all global activities related to financial performance, accounting, tax, forecasting, risk management, and asset management.

The HAFS organisation manages the accounting and finance functions both on property and at a corporate level, allowing us to develop scalable, global processes that allow team members the opportunity for growth and the ability to spend more time on strategic, high-value work. This includes managing relationships with our critical business partners across our global activities with a key focus on driving finance process transformation to deliver sustainable benefit for our key customers.

As the Senior Manager, Hilton Accounting and Finance Services (HAFS) Global Project Management Office, you will be responsible for the delivery of distinct project workstreams related to ongoing efforts to centralise and continuously improve Finance and Accounting business processes across the portfolio.

You will manage the implementation of a key project workstream from beginning to end.  Overseeing project deliverables, and the associated deployment timeline for your project areas, utilising recognised project methodologies.

  • Support the expansion of our finance centralised operating model and hotel transition activity
  • Collaborate with the programme manager to ensure successful deployment of your workstream with an awareness and understanding of context within the wider programme
  • Manage the deployment of strategic project workstreams, current or proposed business solutions or processes, to achieve function-wide objectives
  • Own the deployment of complex project objectives including, the delegation of work effort and direction of cross-functional team members over multiple functional areas
  • Lead implementation of projects/processes/tools that support key business drivers within the HAFS major programme areas
  • Identify and oversee project workstream risk and issues and proposes mitigation tactics and strategies
  • Manage coordination with other teams across HAFS and Operations Finance, including leaders, as appropriate, to understand project implications for other programmes, projects, or processes or when subject matter expertise is required
  • Collaborate with the programme manager to input to compelling, logically structured presentations and deliverables that will be shared at the business leadership level
  • Maintain awareness of current business trends, operating conditions, and internal process and practices that have significant impact on HAFS projects

  • You may also be required to travel up to 50% of the time: Domestic and International Travel

Preferred:

  • Experience in a GBS or Shared Service environment
  • Successfully delivered large scale finance transformation and change projects

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
  • Prolific Strategic Programme and Project Management Experience
  • The ability to demonstrate Progressive Overall Experience
  • Project Management or Programme Management certification (e.g. PMP, PgMP, Prince2, Six Sigma)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive functional knowledge of the Hilton Accounting and Finance Services organisation, financial systems, and processes
