Job Description

This position is located in beautiful Sedona, Arizona. Surrounded by breathtaking views of the red rocks, the Amara Resort and Spa offers majestic accommodations for travelers. The Human Resources and Accounting Admin is responsible for assisting the Human Resources and Accounting departments with a variety of functions. This position ensures all records and postings are compliant with state/federal laws, enforces company policies, and assists with team member benefits. This position follows closely all HR/ Accounting processes and monitors missing documentation.

Human Resources Duties & Functions:

  • Approach all encounters with guests and team members in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
  • Assist with benefits enrolment and aid all team members. Conduct monthly benefits enrollment audits.
  • Assist with new hire process: scheduling interviews, calling candidates, process pre-employment documents and ensuring all required HR documents are completed and accurate.
  • Prepare necessary documents for new hire packages.
  • Accurately administer the payroll system with new hires, changes, and terminations.
  • Ensure team member bulletin boards are up to date.
  • Assist with special projects; planning employee events (meetings, picnics, parties, trainings).
  • Conduct regular file audits; personnel, I-9’s, and confidential.
  • Run monthly reports for benefits enrollment, birthdays, anniversaries, and others.
  • Comply at all times with Amara Resort and Spa standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Other duties as required.

Accounting Duties & Functions

  • Process daily cash deposit
  • Reconcile and process daily tips from F&B outlets
  • Respond to guest billing inquiries
  • Process weekly travel agent commissions
  • Assist with accounts payable and vendor inquiries
  • Manage assignment/collection of banks for cash-handling employees
  • Perform monthly bank audits
  • Assist with month end close

Qualifications

  • 2 - 3 years administrative experience.
  • 1 year of Human Resources experience.
  • 1 year of accounting experience.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Ability to understand and utilize basic computer equipment and applications, to include word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.
