We're in search of a Sous Chef to join our culinary management team. The ideal candidate will be prepared to take the lead, get hands-on, and motivate the team to excel in our bustling restaurant, poolside venue, speakeasy bar, café, and event spaces. Administrative experience is advantageous.
Our ideal candidate possesses a deep passion for culinary excellence and an acute attention to detail. You'll work closely with the Executive Chef to maintain exceptional food quality and presentation standards.
What you will be doing
- Supervise and support kitchen staff in all food production aspects
- Ensure consistent quality standards through food product evaluations
- Establish and adhere to regular maintenance schedules for kitchen areas and equipment
- Provide training and professional growth opportunities for kitchen staff
The ideal candidate for this position
- 2+ years of culinary or kitchen experience
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Must be able to work standing for a minimum period of 10 hours per day.
- Periodical bending, kneeling and stretching is required.
- Pull, push, move, carry and lift at least 40 pounds of force is required.
- Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.
- Will be exposed to hot and cold temperature extremes.
- Must be able to move, pull, carry and lift at least 50 pounds of force.
- Occasionally kneeling, sitting, crouching and climbing.
- Must be able to hear and speak clearly to communicate with guests and co-workers
