Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Ability to speak, read, write and comprehend the English language at a level sufficient to communicate effectively with staff.
Training and Experience: ACF certification as “Sous Chef” or culinary degree from recognized culinary institute and equivalent experience. Five to seven years experience in quantity food production, in an upscale hotel or freestanding restaurant. Three to five years supervisory experience in multi-outlet food production, in an upscale hotel environment. Outstanding leadership, management, organizational, and communication skills.
Job Knowledge: Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of food production techniques and standards. Thorough knowledge and understanding of kitchen equipment use and operation.
Job Summary: To insure the food production of the kitchen satisfactorily meets the specifications of the Executive Chef with regard to quality, presentation, sanitation, and cost control.
Physical Abilities: Must have the ability to bend, stoop, stand, and lift 50 pounds.
Schedule
Must be flexible to work all hours including evenings, weekends and holidays. Benefits
