Definition:

The Water Obstacle Course Attendant is mainly responsible for the check-in and waiting area next to The Yacht Club for the in-lake obstacle course. The Attendant will greet, accommodate, and facilitate a high Horseshoe Bay Resort standard guest check-in to Obstacle Course by providing friendly, efficient, and accurate service.

General Duties:

  • Acknowledge and greet everyone who enters and leaves the Obstacle Course area by using the 10/5-foot rule.
  • Use the guests’ name at least 3 times during interaction.
  • Maintain eye contact when addressing external and internal guests.
  • Handle guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
  • Properly open and close Obstacle Course reception area each day with consistency and proficiency according to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Actively promote the marina, services, and retail, as well as other programs, promotions and/or discounts available.
  • Refrain from discussing company or personal business with guests.
  • Assist and resolve and scheduling conflicts and guest challenges.
  • Prepare daily reports accurately and efficiently.
  • Check out guests in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provide accurate, appropriate, and immediate responses to all requests by guests, ensuring complete guest satisfaction.
  • Develop ability to follow SOP, check list, procedures (to know what must be done) and work without constant direct supervision and remain at assigned post for extended periods of time while standing.
  • Regularly attend, participate in and support staff meetings and training.
  • Follow established lost and found procedure.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the reception area.
  • Communicate to management in a timely manner when resources are running low.
  • Perform all requested duties or tasks assigned by Outlet Manager and Supervisor.
  • Exercise proper communication with others, commitment to your team and the overall guest experience while utilizing consideration and compromise for and given situation.

    Employment Standards:

  • Minimum age requirement 16 yrs.
  • Customer service experience required.
  • Basic math and accounting skills.
  • Excellent telephone etiquette and interpersonal skills required.
  • Service oriented - able to pamper, accommodate and anticipate guests needs.
  • Enjoy working with people and possess a friendly and outgoing personality.
  • Solution oriented.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational skills, and detail oriented.
  • Flexible and accommodating attitude.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.
  • Comply and adhere to all Horseshoe Bay Resort and Yacht Club policies and standard operating procedures (SOP’s).

  • Must be able to interact with co-workers, customers and have a sense of TEAM.
