Job Summary

The Marriott Digital Cobrand team seeks an experienced product owner to lead the experience definition, delivery, and activation of Marriott’s digital credit card footprint. As part of the overall Digital team, the Digital Cobrand Product Owner will play a key role in maturing Marriott’s core digital credit card experiences to advance the Company’s goal of becoming the world’s favorite travel company.

In support of Marriott’s overall US and international growth strategy, this role will partner with key business, design, marketing, and engineering leaders across the organization to define, own and manage the roadmap for Digital Cobrand. This will include-

This role will lead to a diverse set of cross-functional, agile product teams to activate against each aspect of the global Cobrand roadmap and strategy in desktop and mobile web.

The person in this role will be comfortable leading, making decisions, and managing communication across the broader organization for all aspects of the digital Cobrand roadmap that pertain to new commerce capabilities and experiences.

An ideal candidate will be a digital product owner who relentlessly pushes to understand customer needs, has a data-driven mindset, and can continually partner and prioritize in a complex and fast-paced environment.

He/she will be able to navigate both strategic and tactical business, design, and engineering challenges seamlessly and will serve as a key partner across the broader Marriott organization with a diverse set of internal stakeholders.

A successful candidate will bring a proven track record in leadership, digital product management, and demonstrated, successful delivery in an enterprise setting. Additionally, an ideal candidate will understand other digital products evolution, digital experience trends, a global growth mindset, a collaborative team spirit, and a passion for delivering unique global experiences that consumers love.

Candidate Profile

Education And Experience

Required 

  •    4+year degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Information Technology, Hospitality Management, Engineering, Business, other disciplines, or equivalent experience/certification
  •    7+ years of experience in the travel/hospitality industry, credit card industry, or technology company."
  •    5+ years of Product Owner and/or Product Manager experience in leading cross-functional product teams, ideally in the context of credit cards and marketing
  •    Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and collaborate effectively in a matrix-managed environment.
  •    Entrepreneurial, startup attitude in a big company setting, self-starter who takes the initiative in an ambiguous environment to generate momentum & positive business outcomes.
  •    Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and translate data into critical learnings and execution plans that drive business results.
  •    Ability to understand and navigate complex technical discussions, architectures, and solutions.
  •    The customer-obsessed mindset that capitalizes on user data to make step-change experience improvements to platforms, products, and features.
  •    The global mindset that balances international solution orientation with awareness, appreciation, and adaptability for local market & customer dynamics
  •    Experience analyzing SEO trends and impact to drive the performance of new and existing pages launched.
  • Preferred

  •    Product experience leading or managing web and app solutions within both large and small organizations.
  •    Experience leading a product team in a scaled agile development environment, SAFe, and variants.
  •    Fluency with analytics platforms; familiar with Adobe Analytics to support data-driven product and feature measurement, performance, and iteration.
  •    The ideal candidate will have international experience and proficiency translating global solutions for local markets.
  •    Experience working with Adobe Experience Manager or other content management systems.
  •    Master or MBA degree from an accredited university is preferred. 

    Core Work Activities

    Managing Work, Projects, And Policies 

  •    Undertaking ongoing enhancements to existing Cobrand products to drive acquisition and revenue. 
  •    Identifying white spaces for improvement in Cobrand experiences based on customer journeys and insights
  •    Streamlining and integrate Cobrand experiences across the customer journey and Marriott channels.
  •    Driving awareness of Cobrand product through channels like paid media and SEO.
  •    Boosting personalization and targeting in partnership with Digital merchandising strategies
  •    Maintain the benefits of existing cardholders and optimize their experience to increase consumption.
  •    Collaborate with Marriott's internationalization team to expand credit card market share in various countries with tailored and effective strategies.
  •    Building partnerships with external partners to support Cobrand Product growth agenda
  •    Upgrading to a new architecture and infrastructure, to expand digital Cobrand card experiences to new markets for Marriott,
  •    Assess the business demands to evolve the product strategy.
  •    Effectively prioritize and manage the scope of each feature launch to deliver critical capabilities using agile scrum methodologies.
  •    Document user stories in Jira, including specified acceptance criteria.
  •    Align and influence stakeholders and resources globally. Manage a cross-functional process for prioritizing and planning the roadmap and major product releases.
  •    Plan the sprints with the team, and provide prioritization for each iteration, including coordination of dependencies with other product owners.
  •    Coordinate with key stakeholders to ensure the product complies with business and client requirements.
  •    Monitor key performance metrics to ensure product performance and identify optimization opportunities.
  •    Provide weekly roll-up communications about progress, wins, and challenges to team leadership.
