Description

Summary: Pizza Cook responsibilities include preparing pizza dough; slicing and chopping toppings like vegetables and meats and executing customers’ orders considering special requests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Ensures cooking stations are sanitized and prepped with necessary tools
• Prepares and stores pizza dough including thin crust, thick crust and cheese-stuffed
• Prepares pizza sauces
• Checks quality of pizzas before they’re served to guests
• Performs regular maintenance on kitchen equipment
• Wash and chop vegetables and other toppings
• Monitoring the temperature of the pizza ovens as well as cooking times
• Managing all food order slips and ensuring they are completed in a timely manner
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including day/night shifts, weekends and holidays

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is frequently required to talk and/or to hear. Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds chest high, able to twist left to right, and have good hand-eye contact. Must be able to stand 8 – 10 hours at one time. Must be able to walk up and down stairs (at least 2 flights) without difficulty.
