HVAC Technician: Keep Lake LBJ's Favorite Resort Cool, Calm & Running
Full-Time

Keep Our Cool Running on the Shores of Lake LBJ

Picture this: crystal-clear waters of Lake LBJ, rolling Hill Country sunsets, and a resort so beloved it’s practically a Texas institution. Now picture yourself as the hero who keeps it all running smoothly — because when the AC hums perfectly in a guest room on a sweltering Hill Country afternoon, you’re the one who made that happen.

Horseshoe Bay Resort isn’t just a place to work — it’s 17,000 acres of rolling Texas Hill Country, three championship golf courses, a yacht club, a world-class spa, and one of the most spectacular stretches of waterfront in the state. We need a sharp, self-sufficient EPA Universal Certified HVAC Technician to help us keep the lights on, the water running, and the climate perfectly dialed in, 24/7.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Be the HVAC Whisperer: Keep guest rooms and public spaces perfectly climate-controlled, tackling all things HVAC, electrical, and plumbing with confidence and precision.
  • Think Fast, Fix Faster: Diagnose problems like a detective and solve them like a pro — minimizing downtime and keeping the resort experience seamless for every guest.
  • Answer the Call: Be ready to spring into action for emergencies, protecting our guests, your fellow associates, and the resort’s systems when it matters most.
  • Handle the Little (and Big) Things: From unclogging drains to programming TVs, no task is too small when it comes to guest comfort.
  • Guard Life Safety Systems: Keep a sharp eye on fire alarms, sprinklers, and emergency power systems — because safety is never an afterthought here.
  • Sweat the Details: Maintain your tools, track your gauges, log your work, and keep your workspace sharp — because precision matters.
  • Spot the Savings: Keep an eye out for energy conservation opportunities and help us run a smarter, greener operation.
  • Mentor the Next Generation: Share your know-how with fellow engineers and help build the next wave of skilled trades talent.

What You Bring to the Table

  • EPA Universal Certification — non-negotiable, and your ticket to the job.
  • Above-average chops in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic controls, carpentry, painting, and kitchen equipment repair.
  • A High School Certificate with a technical trades focus.
  • Sharp communication skills — you can read a safety manual, write a clear log, and talk shop with guests and teammates alike.
  • The confidence to work independently and make smart calls under pressure.
  • The physical readiness to lift up to 50 lbs regularly (and up to 100 lbs when duty calls), plus plenty of walking and stair-climbing.
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Flexibility to work any shift — because great resorts never sleep, and neither does Hill Country hospitality.

Why You’ll Love It Here

Horseshoe Bay isn’t just scenic — it’s soulful. Here, Texas Hill Country charm meets resort-grade excitement, and the work you do directly shapes unforgettable guest experiences. Plus, we take care of our own:

  • Health & Wellness: Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance; Critical Illness and Accident plans; Long and Short-Term Disability.
  • Financial Security: 401k with employer match, competitive pay with scheduled raises, and an Associate Relief Fund for life’s surprises.
  • Work/Life Balance: Paid Vacation and Paid Holidays — because Hill Country sunsets are better enjoyed off the clock, too.
  • Resort Perks: Golf and amenity privileges, retail and dining discounts, and perks across Crescent Hotels & Resorts properties nationwide.
  • Everyday Wins: Subsidized associate housing and shuttle service, weekly meal subsidies, and real growth opportunities through our Manager in Training Program.

If you’re ready to bring your skills to a place where Hill Country beauty meets five-star hospitality, we’d love to meet you.
