Opened in 2022, TETRA Hotel, Autograph Collection brings understated luxury to the Silicon Valley market as the only AAA Four Diamond Marriott property in the Silicon Valley region. In conjunction with it’s sister property, the AC Hotel Sunnyvale Moffett Park, this stunning hotel campus has a combined 350 guest rooms and suites, 2,000 sq ft of indoor meeting space, and unique outdoor gathering spaces to offer an experience exactly like nothing else. The campus also features several distinct dining and drinking destinations, including Adrestia - a Californian restaurant with Asian, Mediterranean and French inspired fare, NOKORI – a bespoke Japanese Whisky lounge with Izakaya bites, and Coffee Manufactory – featuring craft coffee, curated retail, and a conbini inspired grab and go. At our AC Wing, the AC Lounge brings Spanish inspired lobby bar with gin and tapas alongside the AC Kitchen, our European inspired breakfast spot. Beyond our meeting and dining experience, the campus has amazing immersive art in communal spaces: the Nexus, the Mark, and our third level olive-shaded pool deck.

The Area Sales Manager is responsible for attainment of assigned goals tied to the overall performance of our campus of hotels. The individual will be responsible for effectively soliciting and securing new accounts for all assigned hotels. The Area Sales Manager will work in conjunction with the Directors of Sales/hotel leadership to achieve the revenue and market share goals for TETRA Campus. Management-level associates are expected to work as much of each workday as is necessary to complete their job responsibilities; for OEM associates’ overtime does apply and is calculated accordingly.

Qualifications

  • Must have passion for hotels, events, and beverage + food.
  • CI/TY and Lightspeed Experience preferred. 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. College course work in hospitality or events helpful.
  • Experience in hotel, event venue, or a related field preferred. 
  • Must be proficient in Windows operating systems and has a good grasp of computer systems. 
  • Must work well in stressful high-pressure settings.
  • Experience with professional selling skills desired: opening probing supporting closing
  • Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary. 
  • Must be able to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple tasks; strong organization and presentation skills.
  • Must be effective at listening to understanding clarifying and resolving the concerns and issues raised by coworkers and guests. 
  • Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions. 
  • Must have a vaild driver's license for the applicable state. 

Responsibilities

  • Effectively attain assigned sales and revenue goals as well as solicitation call goals for the assigned collection of hotels. 
  • Proactively conduct solicitation calls conduct sales tours and entertain clients specific to Leisure SMERF Business Travel (BT) and/or Groups as applicable by property. 
  • Detail group resumes and BEOS if necessary. 
  • Grow existing relationships with assigned accounts specific to Leisure SMERF Business Travel (BT) and/or Groups as applicable by property. 
  • Monitor and evaluate trends within your market segment.
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive friendly courteous and service-oriented manner.
  • Adheres to Aimbridge Hospitality’s established regulations company standards sales standards and sales metrics related.
  • Develop a full working knowledge of the operations and policies of the hotel and applicable departments.
  • Maintain strong visibility in local community and industry organizations as applicable.
  • May assist in implementing and/or participating in special promotions relating to direct sales segments i.e. sales blitzes etc.
  • Attend daily/weekly/monthly meetings and any other functions required by management.
  • Perform any other duties as requested by the General Manager or Director of Sales.
