Here's what you'll be doing:
- A leader of the hotel, working closely with the General Manager and department heads to maximize their financial acumen, assist with recommendations for desirable profitable options, safeguard owner assets with reliable internal control systems
- Preparation of monthly forecasting and reports and assist in the development, implementation and monitoring the budget to maximize revenues
- Monitor and approve all purchases, salaries and expenses of the hotel
- Responsible for the preparation and processing of biweekly payroll for over 160 employees; review and ensure accuracy of approved timesheets; track and deduct all garnishments and other special payroll deductions
- Prepare, review, and present the monthly report of operations
- Prepare forecasts and budgets as required
- Oversee all contracts and legal agreements, and assist hotel management in maintaining all licenses, permits, insurance and contracts
- Establish and audit all internal financial controls, including purchasing, cash handling and disbursements, inventories, hotel equipment, master keys and associates time records
Does this sound like you?
- Post-secondary education, preferably a degree or diploma in business or accounting with a minimum of three years’ experience, or have an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent skills using MS Word, Excel, and Internet Explorer
- Excellent leadership qualities and success in building and leading a strong team
- Passion for innovation and able to put ideas into action
- Strong skills using and understanding the flow of transactions in an integrated and automated payroll accounting system
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
