Full-Time

What you will be doing

  • Assist with all aspects of the investment partnership / corporate tax function, which include the preparation and / or review of various allocation schedules, assigned calculations, complex tax returns, federal and state income tax compliance, as well as any other tax related deliverables
  • Assist with the technical review / analysis of transactions and preparation / review of supporting documentation and disclosures
  • Calculate taxable income estimates for limited and joint venture partners
  • Research accounting and tax related matters
  • Prepare responses to the IRS, state and other statutory tax matters while ensuring the appropriate tracking of such
  • Maintain and reconcile tax depreciation and amortization schedules
  • Other tasks and ad hoc projects as needed, directed by the Director of Tax

The ideal candidate for this position

  • 3-5 years of relevant public accounting and / or private equity experience
  • Self-starter with the initiative to seek out opportunities and work independently / successfully in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Have the ability to understand complex organizational and ownership structures as well as allocations
  • Solid research, organizational and communication skills
  • Experience with partnership / corporate tax and REITs preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with CCH Pro FA and Investran a plus
