Executive Chef

DoubleTree by Hilton Minneapolis Airport is looking for an Executive Chef who will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff management. They are responsible for ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest quality standards and that all kitchen staff are properly trained and supervised.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement menus that meet the needs of customers and the restaurant.
• Oversee the preparation and cooking of all food items.
• Ensure that all food is prepared to the highest quality standards.
• Manage and train kitchen staff, including cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers.
• Ensure that all kitchen staff follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
• Order and maintain inventory of all food and kitchen supplies.
• Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and repaired.
• Work with restaurant management to develop and implement cost-saving measures.
• Ensure that all kitchen staff adhere to safety and health regulations.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and new cooking techniques.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an executive chef or similar role
• Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen management
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to manage and train kitchen staff.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
• Culinary degree or equivalent experience
