We have a fantastic opportunity for an undergraduate to join our Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Media team on a 12-month placement. This placement is ideally suited to an undergraduate who is looking to gain hands-on experience of planning, managing and delivering key advertising campaigns for our brands, hotels and destinations in which they operate.
From day one, our placement students are fully integrated into Team Hilton and are involved in different aspects of the business. Our placements offer vast exposure and opportunities, such as the opportunity to network with senior executives, involvement in regional conferences and for some, international travel.
Based in our EMEA headquarters, Watford, you will also benefit from a subsidised restaurant, a games area and a free in-house gym, featuring state-of-the-art equipment, including Peloton. Watford is super conveniently located, just under 20 mins train ride away from the buzz in central London, so perfect to live a London lifestyle without the cost.
Within the EMEA Corporate offices, you will be part of a cohort of 40 Interns, working across various corporate teams and involved in our leading intern programme. This includes regular connect meetings, short assignments and feedback sessions designed to support your development.
The Opportunity
As the Media intern, you will gain experience of most aspects of media advertising from always-on Performance Media across Google products, to huge campaign launches which incorporate both digital and offline ad formats, such as social media, TV, billboard, podcast advertising and much more. You will gain exposure to client-side marketing disciplines in these areas, as well as work closely with our advertising agency and key media partners. This will be a super exciting opportunity to look under the hood of advertising channels and platforms to understand how we bring authentic and compelling adverts to life. Whilst this is largely not a technical role, you will have exposure to many different disciplines within Marketing, from technical to creative to customer and audience behaviour. As part of this role, you’ll get to work alongside a diverse team of specialist experts, who work collaboratively and challenge each other to do our best work. Added to this, you’ll have an incredible opportunity to work directly with our key partners such as Meta (Facebook), TikTok, Google, YouTube and more. You will get to visit the offices of the key publishers above, and we’ll connect you with a variety of our external stakeholders within those publishers and our advertising agency, so that you get to see what a career in advertising might look like from all sides.

Beyond the Placement
Once you have been on placement with us you are part of Team Hilton and whilst we cannot always guarantee an offer of employment after your studies, we like to keep in touch. Many interns have successfully re-joined Hilton upon completion of their degree. To give you a few examples, we currently have former interns working for us in Finance, Marketing, Sales, HR, Supply Management, Engineering… The list goes on!
