About this Employer

Our Lodges

Grand Canyon National Park Lodges is a division of the Xanterra Travel Collection.  We are the primary concessionaire at Grand Canyon National Park, operating restaurants, lodging, retail and tour operations. We offer positions in a variety of departments, including: Accounting, Engineering/Maintenance, Food & Beverage, Livery/Stables, Management, Reservations, Retail, Rooms/Lodging, Security/Fire Safety and Transportation.

Grand Canyon National Park, founded in 1919, is one of the oldest national parks in the United States. One of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, Grand Canyon is a 1-mile deep gorge carved by the Colorado River, and is 270 miles long and up to 18 miles wide. The South Rim of the Grand Canyon is the most visited location at Grand Canyon National Park. The breathtaking scenic views and vistas are what bring over 6 million visitors each year to the park. And as employees, we get to live, work and explore right there.

LIVE. WORK. EXPLORE.

Whether seasonal or full-time, you'll discover the wonder of one of the most extraordinary places on earth. With over 700 miles of hiking trails and countless miles of backroads for biking, a year-round outdoor playground is waiting for you, along with unique experiences such as mule rides along the rim or to Phantom Ranch, rafting on the Colorado River and train tours on the Grand Canyon Railway.

Our guests and employees come from across the country and around the world, which makes working at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to interact with, and learn about, a variety of cultures. Our employees make countless personal connections and create everlasting memories for themselves and our guests.

Housing & Meals

Grand Canyon National Park Lodges is a community living environment. Community living can be a great way to bond and create lifelong friendships with others who share similar interests and values, however, it does come with some challenges. Being prepared will help your transition. Employee housing varies by position, however, most is dormitory-style with communal bathrooms. Each dorm room accommodates 2-3 people and includes beds, closets, dressers and a night stand. Laundry facilities are included. Dormitory buildings do not have cooking facilities. You must be 18 years of age or older to live in company housing and must be actively employed by Xanterra. Pets, children and smoking are not permitted in dormitory housing. Couples' housing may be available as well. Some positions will qualify for apartment housing or better. Inquire with our HR Department for more information.

The Employee Cafeteria serves cafeteria-style meals that include a hot entree and side dishes, sandwiches, salads, fruits, cereals and beverages. Vegetarian options are available at each meal, however, the E-Cafe chef and crew are not able to accommodate all dietary needs such as vegan or allergy-related restrictions.

Connectivity

Although Grand Canyon National Park Lodges does have cell service and Wi-Fi access, cell reception varies throughout the park, depending on your provider and plan, and Wi-Fi may be much slower than what you're accustomed to. Most dorm rooms come with free satellite TV hook ups.

Getting Around

There is available shuttle transportation inside the park - employees are able to bring their own vehicle but can easily get around without their own vehicle. Grand Canyon also offers a bike share program for our employees!
