Glacier National Park Lodges is a division of the Xanterra Travel Collection. We are the primary concessionaire in Glacier National Park, operating historic lodges, restaurants, retail outlets and red bus tours. We offer positions in a variety of departments, including: Accounting, Engineering/Maintenance, Food & Beverage, Management, Reservations, Retail, Rooms/Lodging, Security/Fire Safety, Transportation and Warehouse.
Known for its seemingly endless acres of rugged and breathtaking landscapes, Glacier National Park was established in 1910 and stands today as a monument to wild natural places. Just as the landscape and wildlife are part of the heritage of Glacier National Park, so are the 6 historic lodges and classic Red Buses and their drivers known as “jammers.” Each year, millions of visitors from all over the world come to Glacier National Park to enjoy and explore. And as employees, we get to live, work and explore right there.
Whether seasonal or full-time, you'll discover the magic of one of the most magnificent places on earth. Glacier National Park's rugged mountains, lush wildflowers and abundance of rivers and lakes, offer countless opportunities to engage in hiking, biking, kayaking, fishing and many other adventurous activities.
Our guests and employees come from across the country and around the world which makes working in Glacier National Park a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to interact with, and learn about, a variety of cultures. Our employees make countless personal connections and create everlasting memories for themselves and our guests.
Glacier is a community living environment. Community living can be a great way to bond and create lifelong friendships with others who share similar interests and values, however, it does come with some challenges. Being prepared will help with your transition. Employee housing varies by position, however, most is dormitory-style with communal bathrooms. Each dorm room accommodates 2-4 people and includes beds, wardrobes/closets and a chair and desk. Laundry facilities are available. Dormitory buildings do not have cooking facilities. You must be 18 years of age or older to live in company housing and must be actively employed by Xanterra. Pets, candles and smoking are not permitted in company housing.
Limited couples housing may be available. Please include your spouse's/significant other's name on your application if you are applying together. We also have RV sites with hookups for those who wish to live in their own RV or trailer. Children and pets are welcome in our RV Park.
The Employee Dining Room (EDR) serves cafeteria-style meals that include a hot entree and side dishes, sandwiches, salads, fruits, cereals and beverages. Vegetarian options are available at each meal, however, the EDR Chef and Crew are not able to accommodate all dietary needs such as vegan or allergy-related restrictions.
Due to our remote nature, cell phone service is NOT available in the park. Employees are encouraged to bring pre-paid phone cards for the convenience of making long distance calls from payphones in public areas. Satellite TV is available in the employee recreation room, however, phone and cable/satellite is not available in dormitory rooms. Limited, low-bandwidth Wi-Fi is available on property and computers are available for employee use.
