Our team at Holiday Inn Dublin-Pleasanton is looking for qualified candidates to join our team as hotel Group Housing Sales Associate.

Who You Will Become

As the Group Sales Associate, you’ll be the go-to person for group reservations, or special corporate reservations. You will build great rapport with booking coordinators, group and company representatives, and repeat clientele, and they will have your direct line on fast dial whenever they want to book. You will handle large groups; be it sports, tour groups or corporate groups. You will work closely with a growing and vibrant sales team and will acquaint yourself with the PMS, the booking engine and sales platform. Do you like numbers? The position will expose you to learning about how hotel rates are set. In short, this is a fun, educative position for the right candidate.

Job Description & Duties

Candidates must possess customer service driven personalities and/or have previous Opera PMS experience. Previous hotel front desk or reservations experience would be a plus.

Under the supervision of the Director of Sales, this position is responsible for:

• Being diligent, accurate and reliable with groups or reservation entries.
• Working with Sales team for clarity and detail in any group agreements.
• Monitoring hotel inventory & fulfilling the hotel's goals to sell out.
• Providing friendly, courteous and accommodating service to guests calling in for reservations.
• Attending to group needs, requests and concerns pre and post arrival.
• Checking in with group clients to ensure that their stays were to their satisfaction.
• Represent the hotel in a professional and friendly manner at all times.
• Cold calling, sales calls and some travel for client visits required.
• Additional duties related to the job position though are not listed here will be expected.
• Ability to work mornings/afternoons/nights/weekends/ is required.
