PREREQUISITES:
- High School diploma
- One year experience in a similar capacity and two years of experience in service industry
- Computer skills required: Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, experience with Hilton and Choice Systems is highly preferred
- Must be organized and detail oriented
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate in verbal and written form
- Must be able to perform major life activities: Standing, lifting, bending, learning, reading, concentrating, thinking, and communicating
Job Requirements
- Answer incoming calls for the Sales Department
- Assists with inside sales for the property
- Create, modify, and cancel reservations and enter rooming lists
- Book Meetings and Events
- Create Banquet Event orders for Meetings and Events
- Follow up on all meetings and events.
- Create amenity forms for VIP’s
- Complete administrative duties in a timely manner: enter rooming lists, create reservations for corporate accounts, create booking links, enter/monitor group blocks, distribute banquet event orders and group resumes, enter reservation pick-up, filing, etc.
- Communicate with clients regarding critical deadlines: cut-off dates, deposit schedule, etc.
- Conduct tour of hotels for potential customers
- Assist in collecting deposits for groups and process billing for master accounts
- Handle walk-ins when Director of Sales is unavailable
- Attend the daily stand-up meeting
- Attend daily business review and weekly sales meeting
- Promote positive morale and friendly attitude with all departments
