Your Mission

If you are a neat-freak who loves cleanliness, organized and ensure that everything is in its right place, then this job is for you.  You will be responsible for maintaining Virgin Hotel’s highest standards of cleanliness for the public areas, stairwells and elevators.  You will also be required to communicate, coordinate and work well with other teammates, managers and guests.  You must have attention to details and follow proper safety procedures.  Even more so, we expect you to be aware of your surroundings and notice/anticipate guest needs in order to engage the guest to let them know that you are there to take care of them with your genuine and “go the extra mile” service.  Holding the elevator door and opening doors for our guests goes a long way.  Your teamwork and willingness to help others will be on display as you help your fellow teammates in ensuring the cleanliness of the hotel.  Most of all, we want you to have FUN since you play a huge role in creating that memorable guest experience! 

The Nitty Gritty

What exactly you will be doing… 

In helping you understand your role in working for a world class organization, the following is a list of your essential job responsibilities.  Please keep in mind that this list is not all inclusive and that you may be asked to perform other job tasks by your supervisors/managers not listed below in the constant quest to provide “out of this world” customer service experience for our guests: 

  • Maintains the standard of cleanliness for the public areas, stairwells, and elevators.  
  • Handle guest’s requests as assigned 
  • Delivers guest laundry as needed 
  • Report to designated shift in assigned attire 
  • Performs designated duties within time allotted 
  • Uses only the designated cleaning chemicals and tools 
  • Reports any guest or safety issues to a manager or supervisor 
  • Keep guest information confidential and secure 
  • Responsible for all keys assigned and complies with the key policy established by the company 
  • Complies with security policies of the hotel 
  • Restock supplies as needed 
  • Complete a manager’s request within reason 
What Qualities Are We Looking For?

You got skills?  If you are able to perform the following, then you have come to the right place… 

  • Ability to scrub and scour different surfaces using the appropriate tools  
  • Willing to work as part of a team as needed 
  • Ability to work PM shifts
  • Educated on using the proper cleaning chemicals to clean the hotel properly 
  • Conserve water and chemicals according to training standards 
  • Frequent bending, stooping, reaching and wiping 
  • Able to lift up to 25 pounds 
  • Able to push up to 100 pounds 
Background Must Have
  • Current, legal and unrestricted ability to work in the United States 
  • High school or equivalent education required.  
  • Preferred:  Additional foreign language

Our Guest Rooms (Chambers)

The hotel’s 268 Chambers span across 16 floors. Room types are Richard’s Flat King Suite (1), Penthouse King Suite (1), Grand Chamber King Suite (8), Deluxe Chamber King Suite (10), Grand Chamber King (10), Grand Double Queen (10), Chamber King (108), Chamber Double Queen (40), Chamber Double Queen Pool View (10), and Chamber King City View (70). Ranging from 323 to 1,395- square-feet, all guest rooms are uniquely designed to consist of two distinct spaces separated by a sliding door, complete with a peephole, ideal for working, recharging, wellness and playing. The first space, “The Dressing Room”, combines the hallway and a dressing area which includes a full vanity, makeup desk with well-lit mirror, an extra large shower with a bench, and a closet for two. Slide open the privacy door and guests will enter “The Lounge” with the brand’s patented ergonomically designed lounge bed, a red SMEG® minifridge stocked with street-priced comforts, high definition TV, yoga mat, round nomadic walnut table, a red-plush sofa and ample outlets for their smartphone, computer or other electronic devices. All chambers feature custom lighting on sensors that automatically illuminate when guests move. The Chambers showcase bright and natural wood tones throughout and evokes a feeling of comfortable, fresh and airy.
