POSITION SUMMARY
Maximize overall hotel revenue and profit through development and implementation of effective inventory and pricing strategies based on future demand forecasts, current trends and historical data. Responsible for determining the optimal mix of business and managing distribution strategies through all channels to increase revenue and drive market share. Communicate revenue management strategic vision to leadership team at hotel. This position is Hybrid-Remote offering up to 2 remote days per week.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in a related professional field
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Hotel Revenue Management
Marriott International Revenue Management Systems Certifications a plus
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
As the Director of Revenue Management, you are responsible for monitoring, managing, and maintaining all transient, group, and contract inventories to provide the best balance of market mix based on market demand fluctuations to drive overall bottom-line profit for the hotel. Develop overall pricing strategy to include all market segments and distribution channels while working integrally with all departments to deliver outstanding guest service are key components of your role. Some of the daily tasks include:
Manage and maintain group and transient inventory controls including but not limited to group cut off dates, black out dates, rate and inventory for all distribution channels and managing hotel team sellout strategies
Develop, deploy, monitor, and update all pricing strategies through ALL distribution channels, both direct connect and offline accounts
Work with Marketing Team for seasonal, need dates and promotional offerings
Ensure effective pricing strategies are in place to reflect asset strength relative to the competition and specific market conditions
Daily oversight of group pattern management and pricing process
Focus on lowering distribution costs by driving direct booking channel performance
Ongoing and continual day by day forecast and budget processes
Clearly communicate strategic vision and revenue achievement tactics to improve performance
Lead the property’s weekly Revenue Strategy Meeting(s)
Contribute and provide Revenue Management Strategic Vision during all Corporate Property Meetings
Provide weekly forecast updates for Operational Leadership
Deliver weekly analysis of Demand360, STR and Kalibri metrics and make strategy recommendations and changes based on trends
Liaise with Front Office, Sales and Marketing, Reservations, teams to provide market and property demand and pricing guidance
Compliance to brand standards for Rate Plans, Rate Categories, Market Segmentation, inventory classification, rate parity agreements, etc.
Represent hotel while participating in associate, client, and industry functions
