The Role: Event Planning Manager

As the Event Planning Manager, you will be the orchestrator of seamless events, focusing on catering, event space, and sales opportunities. Your role is pivotal in ensuring effective communication between departments, guaranteeing the flawless execution of meetings and related functions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan, coordinate, and execute events from inception to conclusion, building strong relationships with clients and delivering exceptional customer service.

- Maintain organized, accurate, and up-to-date file management, ensuring efficient and knowledgeable service to clients.

- Oversee assigned conferences, events, and room blocks, ensuring the smooth operation and adherence to contract details.

- Conduct planning meetings, site inspections, and pre/post-conference meetings, striving for outstanding execution and collecting valuable feedback.

- Develop and maintain customer profiles and a trace system to enhance client service and revenue generation.

- Cultivate strong customer relationships through professional, ethical, and courteous communication.

- Effectively follow up on customer needs and inquiries to provide prompt and efficient solutions.

- Represent the hotel with integrity and professionalism, maintaining a service-focused approach in all interactions.

- Collaborate with various departments to ensure the proper execution of contract details and exceptional event experiences.

- Leverage comprehensive knowledge of hotel offerings, menus, and event spaces to upsell and exceed contracted minimums.

Requirements:

- Proficiency in general sales techniques.

- Exceptional customer service skills and effective communication.

- Fluency in spoken and written English.

- Proficient verbal and written communication and business writing skills.

- Ability to move around the property, meet clients on and off-site, and operate basic office equipment.

- 2 years of Corporate Event Planning preferred.

- 2 years of food and beverage experience preferred.

- Strong organization skills with meticulous attention to detail.

- Demonstrated up-selling abilities.

- Ability to execute a sales and marketing plan for revenue enhancement.

- Positive attitude and a commitment to excellence.

- Familiarity with computers, event software, and email systems.

- Availability for evening and weekend work as needed.
