Banquet Server

POSITION PURPOSE:
To assist the banquet department with the coordination and service delivery of food and beverage experiences to our guests.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Set up tables with silverware, and other equipment per the event order
• Maintain standards of quality and service according to DoubleTree standards
• Prepare workstations
•  Handle guest requests or coordinate additional assistance from the supervisor or manager
• Communicate frequently with captains, supervisors, and managers
• Maintain condition and cleanliness of banquet rooms, public areas, and storage areas.
• Maintain inventory of necessary supplies.
• Promote excellent guest/associate rapport by responding and completing all requests promptly, efficiently, and courteously
• Attend all scheduled meetings and training sessions
• Perform all other related duties and special projects as requested and/or assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma preferred
• Prior hospitality/customer service experience preferred
• Ability to respond quickly and accurately to guest requests
• Ability to handle multiple tasks quickly and efficiently
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings and proper set-up preferred.
• Dependable and reliable to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation with flexibility to work varied schedules
• Attention to detail
• Ability to effectively deal with guest and employee concerns in a friendly and positive manner. 
• Excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills including the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, and or carry up to 30 pounds
• Ability to stand and move throughout continuously to perform essential job functions
• Must be able to represent the company in a professional, well-groomed, and courteous manner
