JOB SUMMARY
The Executive Chef is responsible for overseeing the culinary operations of the restaurant, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service. This role involves menu development, staff management, and maintaining a safe and sanitary kitchen environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & FUNCTIONS
Operational Responsibilities
- Create innovative and seasonal menus that reflect the restaurant's concept and appeal to the target audience.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of taste, presentation, and consistency.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing waste.
Guest Services
- Engage with customers to gather feedback and ensure satisfaction with the dining experience.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude with guests and team members.
Team Support and Training
- Recruit, train, and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Support team performance by collaborating with colleagues.
Communication and Reporting
- Communicate effectively with the general manager and other staff.
- Report any incidents or safety concerns immediately.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all hotel policies and procedures.
- Adhere to safety standards and maintain a safe working environment.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Effective time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well with a team and demonstrate attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal abilities
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience

CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience: Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred; previous experience as an Executive Chef or similar role is a plus
