Expected to open in Spring 2026, The Queen’s Cue, a Marriott Tribute Portfolio Hotel, is seeking a dynamic pre-opening Sales & Catering Manager to shape our commercial strategy and establish the hotel as Stratford’s newest boutique destination for meetings, events, and cultural gatherings.
The anticipated start date for this role is January 12, 2026.
We are committed to providing you with:
Does this sound like you?
As our Sales & Catering Manager, you will be the driving force behind The Queen’s Cue’s commercial success - shaping how guests, local partners, and the Stratford community experience our boutique property through thoughtful events, strong relationships, and proactive sales initiatives. You will oversee all group, catering, and local account business, positioning the hotel as Stratford’s preferred venue for intimate celebrations, corporate meetings, and culturally inspired social experiences.
You will lead clients through the entire sales and event journey: sourcing and nurturing leads, conducting engaging property tours, developing tailored proposals, planning menus with our culinary team, and ensuring seamless, polished execution on event day. In parallel, you will cultivate strategic partnerships, build a solid base of corporate and leisure accounts, and support the hotel’s long-term revenue objectives.
You will collaborate closely with the Executive Chef, F&B Manager, Rooms Division Manager, and General Manager to develop programming that reflects our Tribute brand identity and Stratford’s vibrant arts and culinary scene. Whether securing midweek business demand or enhancing weekend cultural getaways, your work will directly influence both guest experience and hotel performance.
In this role, you bring a relationship-driven approach, a strategic sales mindset, and the confidence to manage events from concept to completion. You thrive in a boutique, high-touch environment and enjoy the creativity and momentum of pre-opening work. Flexibility is key, and you are comfortable participating in weekly Manager-on-Duty rotations to support the wider hotel operation.
Who we are looking for:
You bring 2+ years of experience in sales, catering, or event management - or a strong combination of education and practical experience that demonstrates your readiness to lead in a boutique, high-touch environment. You are confident working with electronic catering and CRM systems, and you understand how to deliver exceptional events that are well-planned, on budget, and flawlessly executed.
You have a solid grasp of industry best practices, strong communication and presentation skills, and a natural ability to stay organized, prioritize, and manage multiple projects at once. Most importantly, you thrive in relationship-driven roles and bring the professionalism, polish, and adaptability needed to represent The Queen’s Cue both in the community and with our valued clients.
We welcome applications from people with disabilities. Accommodations are available upon request for candidates taking part in all aspects of the selection process.
