The Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing Sales Strategies to increase revenue for the hotel. This includes developing new business relationships and soliciting new and repeat business. The Sales Manager must have a strong understanding of the hotel industry and be able to develop and implement creative sales strategies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in the hotel industry, with a strong understanding of the Sales and Marketing process.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies for all hotel products and services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key accounts including meeting planners, travel agents, and corporate clients.
- Assist the Director of Sales in marketing plans, managing the website, and creating marketing materials.
- Track and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities.
- Represent the hotel at industry events and trade shows.
- Create postings on Social Media sites.
Qualifications:
- Hilton brand and local market experience is preferred.
- Delphi & Opera experience is a big plus.
- Strong knowledge and experience managing Groups, Consortia & BT accounts.
- 2-3 years in a sales position within a hotel.
- Proven track record of success in achieving sales goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of the hotel industry.
- Presentation, Phone, Research of Accounts, Client Communications both internal and external
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
