Dynamic Shipping & Receiving Agent Wanted for Luxury Resort - Deliver Excellence & Elevate Guest Experience!
Summary of Position:
The Shipping & Receiving Agent will be responsible for handling all tasks associated with the shipping, receiving and delivering needs at the Resort. This role includes partnership with all department leaders and guest interactions.
Essential Functions:
~ Receive, timely log and deliver all internal and external guest parcels
~ Receive, timely log and review daily food and beverage deliveries
~ Ensure accuracy and quality of deliveries
~ Work closely with sales/catering/conference services and banquets and culinary departments to ensure property and guest packages are received, accurately logged and delivered properly with all pertinent and correct information
~ Deliver priority guest packages each morning in a timely manner
~ Log packages by using the resort’s tracking system to ensure accuracy and timely delivery
~ Assist Chefs and other managers with any additional assigned duties
~ Attend meetings and maintain communication via email, phone and in person as it pertains to all S/R related needs
~ Keep shipping & receiving areas clean
~ Assist with food purchasing as needed
~ Participate in all quarterly inventory counts including banquets, outlets, culinary, honor bar & spa
~ Prepare package log for accounting after group/conference departure for billing
~ Review, code & submit to accounting, monthly billing from various delivery companies, i.e., FedEx, UPS, etc.
~ Maintain uniform inventory and works with department leaders to ensure accurate PAR levels.
~ Assist with banquet event set up as needed
~ Other tasks as assigned by the resort leadership
Qualifications:
Education: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Experience: 1-3 years previous shipping and receiving experience preferred, but not necessary. Prior guest service or other Hospitality experience preferred.
Certificates or Licenses: Valid Driver’s License with clean motor vehicle record
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to lift and move parcels upwards of 75 lbs.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to exercise independent judgment and remain organized with large volume of parcels each day.
Position requires extensive activity including but not limited to walking and climbing stairs.
Ability to tolerate sun and extreme temperatures for extended periods of time.
Ability to listen, effectively accomplish tasks, and speak clearly.
