Box Office Supervisor/Accounting Assistant:

The Box Office Supervisor is responsible for managing the box office for events. The primary focus of this position will be handling box office duties which include, but are not limited to, box office scheduling, supervising box office associates, managing the box office during shows, and creating box office reports.

The Accounting Assistant is responsible for assisting the Director of Finance and Assistant Controller in various accounting tasks, such as, but not limited to, reviewing invoices for processing, researching discrepancies, and ad hoc reports.

This is a unique full-time hourly position. As the Box Office Supervisor, you will work primarily on event days and 1-2 days a week for an event meeting and scheduling. This position requires a nontraditional schedule as box office hours are event driven and can be long, irregular, and include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. The role as Accounting Assistant will be primarily during the off-peak season of the box office. As the Accounting Assistant, you will work five days a week in the office during normal business hours. The role and schedule of the Box Office Supervisor and the Accounting Assistant can sometimes intertwine based on business.

Responsibilities:

• Schedule and supervise box office associates
• Open and close box office
• Manage box office during events
• Monitor box office uniform and supplies and request replenishments as needed
• Create and send box office reports
• Review invoices for processing
• Research discrepancies in GL, accounts, and AP
• Ad hoc reports and assignments
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Finance and Assistant Controller

Job Requirements:

• 2 – 4 years of Cash Handling and Supervisory experience
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook required)
• Must be able to manage crowds and problem solve situations
• Must be flexible
• Must be well organized, detail oriented, and able to prioritize tasks
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Must be able to think critically and analyze information
