The opportunity

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is looking for part-time Maintenance Workers to join our team at The Lodge at Geneva in Geneva, Ohio. As a Maintenance Worker, you will work on a variety of equipment including HVAC, kitchen and pool equipment. Minor plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting work and snow removal. Assist in guest and staff needs throughout the shift.

$16.00 – $18.00 / hour

What will you do?

  • Paint, hang, and repair drywall as needed and install shelves, hooks, and closet rods
  • Change light bulbs, replace fixtures, open clogged drains, and repair leaks
  • Perform lawn maintenance including mowing and removing weeds
  • Ensure tools and equipment are in working order and keep the maintenance room in neat condition
  • Assist with loading or unloading trucks of maintenance parts and supplies
  • Must safely operate property electric and gas carts
  • Adhere to corporate service standards and work well and communicate with different departments
  • Operates motor vehicle as necessary

More about you

  • No high school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of two years of previous experience in general maintenance and repair required
  • Previous experience with fire and boiler heat systems preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Physical requirements

  • Frequent pushing, pulling, squatting, and kneeling
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Standing and walking 100% of the time
  • Must be able to work outside in all types of weather
  • Requires inside and outside work year round
