The Public Area Attendant plays an important role in creating a welcoming first impression and maintaining a clean, comfortable environment for our guests throughout their stay. This position is responsible for ensuring that all public areas and back-of-house spaces are clean, organized, and well maintained in accordance with hotel standards.

Areas maintained include hallways, stairwells, elevators, entrances, glass doors and windows, public restrooms, Fitness Center, Guest Laundry, Pool area, and outdoor seating areas.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of all hotel public spaces and equipment.

  • Clean carpets and ensure storage rooms and linen closets are organized and fully stocked.

  • Assist the Maintenance team when needed to support the overall operation of the hotel.

  • Follow all company and departmental safety and security policies to maintain a safe and secure environment.

  • Protect the privacy and confidentiality of guests and team members.

  • Respond to guest requests in a professional, courteous, and timely manner.

  • Welcome and acknowledge guests with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly greeting.

  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure proper coverage and excellent guest service.

  • Comply with all quality assurance standards and brand expectations.

  • Report any missing hotel property, maintenance issues, or damages to the department manager.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support hotel operations.

Job Requirements

  • Previous cleaning experience preferred (minimum 6 months).

  • Customer service experience required, preferably in hospitality or another guest-facing environment.

  • Must be physically able to bend, stoop, lift, and stand for extended periods.

  • Must be dependable and willing to work weekends and holidays.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with guests and coworkers.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
