THE ROLE

We are seeking a dedicated and service‑minded Houseperson to join our distinguished housekeeping team. In this essential role, you will help uphold the impeccable presentation and seamless operations that define the Park Hyatt Chicago experience. Your responsibilities will include maintaining the cleanliness and elegance of all public areas, supporting room attendants with linen and supply delivery, and ensuring that guest floors and back‑of‑house spaces remain organized, polished, and guest‑ready at all times.

As a Houseperson, you are a vital ambassador of our luxury standards. Your attention to detail, efficiency, and commitment to care will help create the serene, refined environment our guests expect from a Forbes‑recognized property. Through your work, you will contribute to the smooth flow of the housekeeping department and play a key role in delivering the understated, personalized service that sets Park Hyatt Chicago apart.

WAGE INFORMATION

The hourly rate for this position is $26.50. This position is also eligible to earn overtime and premium pay under certain circumstances.

Requirements

  • Housekeeping Experience: Minimum 2 years in housekeeping or public areas within a luxury or Forbes‑rated environment.

  • Service Culture: Demonstrated commitment to delivering warm, polished, and discreet service in all guest‑facing and back‑of‑house interactions.

  • Operational Support: Proven ability to support room attendants, manage supply distribution, and maintain organized, guest‑ready floors and public spaces.

  • Attention to Detail: Strong ability to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and overall hotel appearance.

  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with professional cleaning equipment, chemicals, and safety procedures aligned with luxury hospitality standards.

  • Efficiency & Reliability: Highly dependable with the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative, service‑focused team.

  • Physical Capability: Able to regularly lift, push, pull, and transport linens, carts, and equipment as part of daily operations.

  • Shift Stamina: Comfortable standing, walking, and remaining physically active throughout an full shift.

  • Schedule Flexibility: Availability to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
