The opportunity

Delaware North Gaming is hiring a full-time Security Officer to join our team at Gate City Casino in Nashua, New Hampshire. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and secure environment for our guests and team members. If you are looking for an exciting, guest-focused role, we invite you to apply and become part of our team. 

Pay

$20.00 – $24.00 / hour

What will you do?

  • Ensure that identification is checked for proper admittance to the gaming floor 
  • Patrol all areas of the property and monitor for suspicious activity, unauthorized behavior, and safety hazards 
  • Assist guests and team members during emergencies, evacuations, or medical incidents 
  • Respond to incidents in a calm and professional manner and de-escalate conflicts  
  • Complete accurate and detailed incident reports, security logs, and daily activity reports 
  • Secure evidence when needed and coordinate with local law enforcement 

More about you

  • Must be at least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or GED
  • Must be licensed by the State Gaming Commission
  • Prior law enforcement, security, or military experience preferred; hospitality or customer service experience is a plus 
  • Ability to clear a criminal background check 
  • Strong customer service skills required 
  • Strong verbal communication, observation, and report writing skills 
  • Ability to obtain a CPR/First Aid/AED/BBP certification  

Physical requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Exposure to an occasionally smoky and loud environment
