Housekeeper / Guest Services Assistant

Position Summary

Dovid Oved Retreat Center is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Housekeeper / Guest Services Assistant to help maintain a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests. This position plays an important role in ensuring excellent guest experiences while supporting the day-to-day operations of our retreat facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, bunkhouses, dining areas, and common spaces.

• Prepare accommodations for guest arrivals and departures.

• Replace linens, towels, toiletries, and guest amenities.

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize assigned areas.

• Assist with laundry operations, linen organization, and inventory management.

• Restock housekeeping supplies and guest essentials.

• Identify and report maintenance, repair, or safety concerns.

• Respond to guest requests professionally and courteously.

• Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards throughout the property.

• Follow established safety, sanitation, and housekeeping procedures.

Additional Duties

Depending on operational needs, employees may occasionally assist with basic care of friendly farm animals, including feeding animals and helping maintain clean animal enclosures.

Qualifications

• Prior housekeeping, hospitality, hotel, retreat center, or guest services experience preferred but not required.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Professional and positive attitude when interacting with guests and coworkers.

• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

• Ability to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and flexible schedules as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

• Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks.

• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Ability to safely use standard housekeeping equipment and cleaning supplies.
