We are seeking a Restaurant Server for our Japanese restaurant in our hotel with 200 guestrooms, 30,000 sq ft of meeting space, two full-service restaurants, and a cafe.

A Restaurant Server is responsible for providing excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable dining experience. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

What you will be doing

Key Responsibilities (This list is not all-inclusive, and additional duties may be assigned as needed.)

  • Greeting guests warmly and present menus
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders
  • Provide menu recommendations and answer questions about ingredients or specials
  • Serve food and drinks promptly and correctly
  • Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any issues
  • Process payments (cash, credit cards, POS systems)
  • Maintain cleanliness of tables and dining areas
  • Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely service
  • Handle customer concerns professionally and escalate when needed
  • Follow all food safety and hygiene standards

Requirements: Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules (including nights, holidays and weekends) to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • Previous restaurant or customer service experience is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure
  • Basic math skills for handling payments
  • Requires standing, walking, and carrying trays for extended periods
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
