Opportunity: Communications Specialist - Talent & Culture

The Communications Specialist works across the HHM Hotels portfolio to craft and execute meaningful messaging that connects our corporate offices, hotel properties, and external audiences. Reporting into the People Support team with a strong focus on internal culture, this role will manage company-wide messages (written and verbal), talent and growth announcements, and corporate communications. Additionally, this position will support HHM Hotels’ external presence by coordinating press releases, managing social content, maintaining updates for the company website, and more.

HHM is looking for a highly collaborative communicator who can translate business milestones into engaging content. The preferred candidate will have exceptional writing skills, a sharp eye for visual presentation, and the ability to seamlessly balance employee engagement with external brand alignment.

The position is a corporate role based out of our central corporate headquarters in Philadelphia, PA. Located in a vibrant, historic downtown hub, and the role itself requires no travel.

Senior Communications Specialist - Communications Manager

Your Focus

  • Intranet Communications: Own the strategy and execution of Inside HHM, our internal communication

    vehicle, ensuring employees stay informed and connected.

  • Organizational Updates: Coordinate and distribute organizational updates, including growth

    announcements and messaging.

  • Success Recognition: Champion company successes by promoting awards and recognition earned by our

    individual hotel properties and management teams.

  • Talent Announcements: Draft and publish timely Talent Announcements, including new joiners,

    promotions, benefits and wellness communications, and organizational changes.

  • Organizational Updates: Coordinate and distribute organizational updates, including growth

    announcements and messaging.

  • Regional Support: Oversee day-to-day office communications and updates specifically for the Philadelphia

    and Harrisburg corporate locations.

  • Team Collaboration: Perform other duties as required to support the HR and corporate leadership teams.
  • Social Channels: Draft and schedule engaging, professional content for HHM Hotels' social channels.
  • Digital Presence: Coordinate updates for the website and contribute to the daily execution of industry reports.
  • Corporate PR: Assist with the drafting, formatting, and distribution of corporate Press Releases.
  • Industry Relations: Support relationships with hospitality magazines and industry websites, and coordinate data for hospitality surveys.

Your Background and Skills

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in corporate communications, internal communications, human resources, public relations, or a related field.
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to adapt tone for internal employees versus external business audiences.
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint with a strong eye for visual layout, slide design, and presentation formatting.
  • Expertise in email communication design, including experience using email marketing platforms or intranet systems to build visually appealing internal newsletters.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple content calendars simultaneously.
  • Prior experience or interest in the hospitality industry is a plus, but not required.

Work Environment and Context

  • Required to sit for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, bend, reach, use hands and fingers to operate a

    mouse and keyboard.

  • Work schedule varies and may include extended work hours and work on evenings and weekends based

    on business needs.
