Residence Inn Phoenix Airport is seeking a dynamic, relationship-focused, and results-driven Sales Manager to lead the commercial strategy for our high-performing extended stay hotel. This is an opportunity to lead sales efforts for a Marriott-branded hotel located just minutes from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, serving a diverse mix of corporate, project, relocation, government, sports, and leisure travelers.

What You'll Do

Drive Total Hotel Revenue: Lead all group, negotiated corporate, extended stay, and local account sales efforts to maximize occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and market share.

Develop Strategic Business: Identify new business opportunities while growing existing accounts across corporate, government, healthcare, construction, relocation, sports, and crew segments.

Own the Sales Strategy: Create and execute annual sales and marketing plans aligned with hotel goals and market opportunities.

Build Lasting Relationships: Establish strong partnerships with local businesses, Marriott Global Sales, travel managers, meeting planners, and community organizations.

Partner with Revenue Management: Collaborate on pricing strategies, forecasting, and inventory management to maximize profitability.

Lead Market Presence: Represent the hotel at industry events, networking functions, and community organizations to increase visibility and generate new business.

Forecast & Analyze Performance: Prepare accurate sales forecasts, budgeting, and weekly/monthly production reports while identifying opportunities for continued growth.

Champion the Marriott Brand: Ensure all sales initiatives align with Marriott brand standards while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of progressive hotel sales experience, including leadership responsibilities
• Previous Sales Manager experience preferred
• Marriott brand experience strongly preferred
• Proven success driving negotiated corporate, extended stay, and group business
• Strong understanding of hotel revenue management and commercial strategy
• Experience with Marriott sales systems and reporting tools preferred
• Excellent relationship-building, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Strong analytical and financial acumen
• Self-motivated leader with exceptional organizational and communication skills
• Knowledge of the Phoenix business community and surrounding markets is a plus
