Courtyard San Diego Mission Valley is seeking a driven, relationship-focused, and results-oriented Director of Sales to lead the commercial strategy for one of San Diego's most desirable Marriott hotels. What You'll Do

• Drive Total Hotel Revenue: Lead all group, negotiated corporate, local account, and leisure sales initiatives to maximize occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and market share.
• Develop Strategic Business: Identify and secure new business while growing existing accounts across corporate, biotech, healthcare, military, government, sports, SMERF, and association markets.
• Own the Sales Strategy: Develop and execute annual sales and marketing plans aligned with revenue goals and market opportunities.
• Build Lasting Relationships: Establish strong partnerships with local businesses, Marriott Global Sales, travel managers, meeting planners, convention organizations, and community leaders.
• Partner with Revenue Management: Collaborate on pricing strategy, forecasting, inventory management, and demand generation to maximize profitability.
• Lead Market Presence: Represent the hotel at industry events, networking opportunities, and community organizations to strengthen the hotel's visibility and reputation.
• Forecast & Analyze Performance: Prepare accurate sales forecasts, budgets, production reports, and pipeline analysis while identifying opportunities for continued growth.
• Champion the Marriott Brand: Deliver exceptional customer experiences while ensuring all sales initiatives align with Marriott brand standards.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of progressive hotel sales experience with leadership responsibilities
• Previous Director of Sales or Senior Sales Manager experience preferred
• Marriott brand experience strongly preferred
• Proven success driving negotiated corporate, group, and local account business
• Strong understanding of hotel revenue management and commercial strategy
• Experience with Marriott sales systems, CI/TY, and reporting tools preferred
• Excellent relationship-building, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Strong analytical, financial, and organizational abilities
• Self-motivated leader with exceptional communication skills
• Knowledge of the San Diego business community and Mission Valley market is highly desirable
