Hotel Operations Supervisor - Roanoke/Salem

Retro Hospitality is searching in the Roanoke/Salem area for a dependable team member to assist with day-to-day hotel operations. This role would work closely with the General Manager and Housekeeping team to ensure smooth operations, including excellent guest experiences and the cleanliness and overall appearance of our hotel. 

What We’re Looking For:

• Energetic and customer-facing individual in the Roanoke/Salem area. 
• Strong understanding of hospitality principles, including guest relations, customer service, and familiarity with front desk operations.
• Exceptional eye for cleanliness and strong attention to detail.
• Leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members effectively. 
• Comfortable multitasking and taking initiative.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience in hotels or a similar hospitality environment is encouraged.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist with ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel systems, including supporting reservations and the night audit process in the Property Management System, and preparing daily reports.
• Clean guest rooms and public spaces, and perform room inspections to ensure quality and cleanliness.
• Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels, including reporting maintenance issues.
• Assisting with inventory counts and supply tracking.
• Foster a positive work environment through effective leadership and communication — step in as Manager on Duty when the General Manager is away.
• Providing general assistance around the hotel.
