InnTrusted is seeking an experienced, results-driven Hotel General Manager to lead the operations of the Home2 Suites by Hilton in Butte, Montana.
The General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, financial performance, operational success, team development, sales execution, guest satisfaction, and Hilton brand compliance of the hotel. This position requires a hands-on hospitality leader who can build a strong team, create a positive workplace culture, drive revenue, control expenses, maintain the physical asset, and consistently deliver an outstanding guest experience.
The ideal candidate will have hotel management experience, strong financial and operational knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to lead a select-service or extended-stay hotel. Experience with Hilton systems, Hilton brand standards, hotel openings, revenue management, sales, and extended-stay operations is highly desirable.
The General Manager will work closely with InnTrusted regional leadership, corporate support teams, ownership representatives, vendors, community partners, and Hilton to ensure the hotel achieves its operational and financial goals.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesHotel Leadership and OperationsProvide strategic and hands-on leadership for all hotel departments, including front office, housekeeping, maintenance, breakfast, sales, and administrative functions.
Direct the day-to-day operation of the hotel in accordance with InnTrusted policies, Hilton brand standards, franchise requirements, and applicable laws.
Establish clear operational expectations, performance standards, accountability measures, and departmental goals.
Maintain a visible leadership presence throughout the hotel and regularly interact with guests and team members.
Conduct regular property walks, room inspections, public-area inspections, and operational audits.
Ensure the hotel is properly staffed, supplied, maintained, and prepared to meet anticipated occupancy and guest demand.
Participate in operational duties when necessary to support the team and maintain guest service standards.
Develop and maintain effective standard operating procedures for all major hotel functions.
Respond to emergency situations and ensure hotel leaders and team members understand emergency response procedures.
Maintain the security and accountability of hotel keys, access systems, cash-handling procedures, guest information, and hotel assets.
Ensure required permits, inspections, licenses, contracts, and operating records remain current and properly maintained.
Prepare and manage the hotel’s annual operating budget, capital budget, business plan, and sales and marketing plan.
Review and analyze profit-and-loss statements, balance sheet items, labor reports, departmental expenses, revenue reports, and operating metrics.
Develop and implement action plans to improve revenue, profitability, cash flow, and return on investment.
Monitor expenses, purchasing, payroll, overtime, cost of sales, utilities, contract services, and controllable operating costs.
Ensure payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, deposits, expense reports, invoices, and other financial documentation are accurate and submitted on time.
Maintain appropriate internal controls for cash handling, purchasing, inventory, payroll, discounts, refunds, and financial reporting.
Forecast hotel performance and adjust staffing, purchasing, and operating strategies based on occupancy, demand, and business levels.
Protect the hotel’s assets through responsible financial management, preventive maintenance, inventory controls, and capital planning.
Work with InnTrusted leadership and ownership to identify capital needs and prioritize property-improvement projects.
Lead the hotel’s revenue strategy in coordination with Hilton Revenue Management Consolidated Center, InnTrusted leadership, and the hotel’s sales resources.
Participate actively in weekly revenue management and RMCC meetings.
Review occupancy, average daily rate, RevPAR, market penetration, booking pace, channel production, segmentation, and competitive-set performance.
Use Hilton systems, revenue management tools, distribution channels, market data, and technology platforms to maximize revenue and market share.
Monitor local market conditions, competitor pricing, citywide demand, special events, business development, economic changes, and emerging threats or opportunities.
Ensure rates, room types, restrictions, packages, promotions, and inventory strategies are accurate and aligned with the hotel’s revenue goals.
Support strategies that increase direct bookings, Hilton Honors enrollment, repeat business, extended-stay occupancy, group production, and negotiated corporate accounts.
Serve as an active sales leader for the hotel and ensure sales efforts are aligned with the property’s financial goals.
Develop relationships with local businesses, construction companies, healthcare organizations, government agencies, educational institutions, sports groups, travel managers, and community organizations.
Identify and pursue extended-stay, project, corporate, group, crew, and leisure business opportunities.
Participate in sales calls, property tours, networking events, community meetings, and local business-development activities.
Review sales activity, account production, lead response, group opportunities, negotiated rates, and account retention.
Hold the hotel team accountable for identifying sales leads and communicating potential business opportunities.
Represent the hotel professionally within the Butte community and surrounding market.
Build strong relationships with the local tourism community, chamber of commerce, economic-development organizations, and area employers.
Recruit, hire, train, develop, motivate, and retain a high-performing hotel team.
Create a workplace culture that reflects InnTrusted’s mission, core principles, and commitment to employee growth.
Establish performance goals and provide regular coaching, recognition, mentoring, feedback, and performance evaluations.
Develop department leaders and prepare high-potential team members for increased responsibility and advancement.
Ensure new employees receive complete orientation, job-specific training, brand training, safety training, and ongoing development.
Monitor employee engagement, attendance, scheduling, productivity, turnover, and workplace morale.
Address employee concerns promptly, fairly, professionally, and consistently.
Administer disciplinary actions, wage recommendations, promotions, terminations, and other employment decisions in accordance with InnTrusted policies and applicable employment laws.
Maintain accurate employee records and ensure required training and certifications remain current.
Ensure department schedules are appropriate for forecasted occupancy and business demand.
Promote teamwork and effective communication between departments and shifts.
Demonstrate the highest level of ethics, professionalism, discretion, fairness, and integrity.
Create a guest-focused culture that emphasizes genuine hospitality, service recovery, cleanliness, responsiveness, and personal accountability.
Monitor guest satisfaction scores, Hilton quality metrics, online reviews, service-recovery cases, and guest feedback.
Develop and execute action plans to improve guest satisfaction and address recurring concerns.
Personally interact with guests, solicit feedback, resolve concerns, and build relationships with frequent and extended-stay guests.
Ensure guest complaints are handled promptly, professionally, and in accordance with Hilton and InnTrusted service-recovery expectations.
Promote Hilton Honors enrollment, member recognition, and delivery of applicable member benefits.
Respond appropriately to guest reviews, surveys, and escalated guest-relations matters.
Ensure all team members understand their role in creating guest loyalty and repeat business.
Maintain full compliance with Home2 Suites by Hilton standards, Hilton policies, franchise requirements, quality-assurance expectations, and license agreements.
Ensure required Hilton training, audits, inspections, brand initiatives, and improvement plans are completed on time.
Maintain brand standards for cleanliness, service, breakfast, guest rooms, public areas, signage, uniforms, safety, and property condition.
Prepare the hotel and team for Hilton quality-assurance evaluations and other inspections.
Develop corrective-action plans for identified deficiencies and ensure timely completion.
Maintain accurate records of brand-required training, inspections, preventive maintenance, and operational compliance.
Protect and promote the Home2 Suites and Hilton brands throughout the guest and employee experience.
Ensure the hotel provides a safe, secure, clean, and well-maintained environment for guests, employees, vendors, and visitors.
Oversee the hotel’s preventive-maintenance program and ensure guest rooms, equipment, building systems, life-safety systems, and public areas are regularly inspected.
Coordinate with maintenance personnel, vendors, contractors, regional leadership, and ownership on repairs and capital projects.
Monitor the condition of HVAC equipment, plumbing, electrical systems, elevators, fire and life-safety systems, pool equipment, laundry equipment, kitchen or breakfast equipment, and other hotel assets.
Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements, fire codes, health regulations, accessibility standards, environmental requirements, and other applicable laws.
Conduct or oversee safety training, emergency drills, accident investigations, incident reporting, and hazard correction.
Ensure safety hazards, accidents, injuries, security concerns, and property damage are documented and reported immediately.
Maintain emergency preparedness plans and ensure appropriate management coverage is available.
Use and require safe handling of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and hotel supplies.
Serve as a positive public-relations representative for the hotel, Hilton, and InnTrusted.
Build relationships with community leaders, businesses, tourism partners, nonprofit organizations, and local government representatives.
Identify opportunities for the hotel and its team members to support the local community.
Develop and carry out practices that promote sustainability, responsible resource use, waste reduction, and environmental awareness.
Conduct business in a manner that protects the reputation, financial interests, and long-term success of the hotel.
Previous hotel General Manager, Assistant General Manager, Director of Operations, or senior hotel leadership experience preferred.
Select-service, extended-stay, Hilton, Home2 Suites, or branded hotel experience strongly preferred.
Experience with a hotel opening, conversion, renovation, or operational ramp-up is a plus.
Demonstrated experience managing hotel operations, financial performance, labor, guest satisfaction, and team development.
Working knowledge of hotel revenue management, sales, forecasting, budgeting, P&L analysis, and expense control.
Familiarity with Hilton systems, OnQ, Hilton Honors, RMCC, STR or CoStar reporting, property-management systems, and hotel operating platforms is preferred.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, email, spreadsheets, reporting platforms, and hotel technology systems.
Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, delegate, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
Ability to analyze information, identify operational issues, make sound decisions, and implement effective solutions.
Strong understanding of hotel maintenance and general building systems.
Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness, safety, and brand compliance.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate the highest level of ethics and integrity.
Ability to work effectively with guests, employees, vendors, ownership representatives, brand representatives, and community partners.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
College degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field preferred.
Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle required.
The General Manager position requires flexibility based on hotel operations and business demand. The successful candidate must be available to work varying schedules, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency situations.
The General Manager is expected to maintain an appropriate leadership presence at the hotel and be reasonably available to respond to urgent operational matters.

The new Home2 Suites by Hilton Butte is an 89-suite, four-story extended-stay hotel currently under development at 2232 Cornell Avenue in Butte, Montana. Designed for both short-term and extended-stay travelers, the hotel will feature a flexible mix of king studios, double-queen studios and one-bedroom suites. The approximately 60,000-square-foot property is designed to provide guests with the space, convenience and modern amenities expected from Hilton’s Home2 Suites brand.
Planned hotel amenities include an indoor swimming pool and hot tub, a modern fitness center, complimentary breakfast area, Home2 Market, guest laundry facilities, boardroom, comfortable lobby and television lounge, and an outdoor grilling patio. The property will also provide 89 parking spaces and electric-vehicle charging stations. Its open public spaces and residential-style accommodations will make it well suited for business travelers, project crews, healthcare visitors, university-related travel, families and guests staying in Butte for several nights or longer.
The hotel is strategically located near the junction of Interstates 15 and 90, giving it excellent visibility and convenient access for travelers moving throughout Montana and the greater Rocky Mountain region. Nearby Bert Mooney Airport provides direct air service to Salt Lake City and Denver, further supporting corporate and leisure travel into the market.
Butte is a distinctive Southwest Montana community with a diverse demand base that includes education, healthcare, government, energy, construction, mining-related industries and regional commerce.
