Wage: $28.50 - $32.91 (Based on Experience/Certifications)

This position reports to the Director of Engineering and may be required to work a flexible schedule based on business needs that include day, evening, and both weekdays and holidays.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

Respond to assigned work orders and guest service requests in a timely and professional manner.

  1. Perform preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and basic repairs as assigned under the direction of Engineering Leadership.
  2. Inspect assigned building systems, equipment, and guestrooms to identify maintenance deficiencies and report findings to Engineering Leadership.
  3. Maintain accurate work order documentation, inspection records, and other required maintenance documentation using the Company's work management system.
  4. Maintain assigned work areas, tools, equipment, and Company property in a clean, organized, and serviceable condition.
  5. Follow all Company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and lockout/tagout procedures while performing assigned work.
  6. Maintain productivity throughout the workday by completing assigned work, supporting departmental priorities, and communicating with Engineering Leadership when additional direction or assignments are needed.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / CORE COMPETENCIES:

  1. Demonstrate the ability to safely use common hand tools, basic power tools, ladders, and measuring devices required to perform assigned maintenance tasks.
  2. Demonstrate a basic understanding of common building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building maintenance, sufficient to perform routine maintenance under the direction of Engineering Leadership.
  3. Demonstrate the ability to follow written and verbal instructions, interpret basic work orders and equipment information, and complete assigned tasks accurately.
  4. Demonstrate the ability to identify obvious maintenance deficiencies and recognize when additional assistance or supervision is required.
  5. Demonstrate the ability to perform assigned work safely while following established departmental procedures and safety requirements.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-year previous maintenance experience or knowledge in basic repairs.
  • Hospitality experience preferred
  • City of Seattle Boiler Operator Grade IV License preferred
